Free Laptop and $50! Too good to be true, right? Or is it?
So, in the beginning..I was entirely skeptical. I saw this lady posting on facebook, this is what she posted.
I am looking for 10 people a week who would be interested in taking part in a google ad laptop test..
. *Must be 18 years of age*
*Must reside in the US*
*Must have reliable home internet*
*Must have a gmail that is active and at least 2 years old*
*Must be trustworthy*
You will be paid $50 and shipped a laptop to complete this test and at the end of the test, the laptop is yours to keep
For me info, please message me.
Most times, it’s a pyramid scheme, or some hack trying to get your info. You would think, why isn’t google advertising themselves? But, I figured.why not bite and check it out, if all else fails..I can decline. So, I message her.
She said all they required was the password and email that has been active for at least two years, a photo of my id (showing my name and picture..everything else could be covered) and continuous internet access.
I was NOT comfortable at all giving access to my main email, but I had a few laying around, and decided to give it a shot. I figured, if I was giving out a laptop and paying someone $50, I would want to have some info on them to make sure they didn’t just take it and run, without doing the work needed to be done.
I gave it to her, and I was instructed that once my laptop was delivered, I was to make sure it was always on, and I was not to touch it. The screen needed to be up at all times. Which is somewhat difficult when you have curious children.
I got added to an online facebook group, and waited roughly a month, and lo and behold..I got a laptop! Now people have been getting all different brands of laptops, I received a Lenovo (which honestly, I had never heard of before that day). I have it hooked up above my nook that holds my microwave, facing the wall and a little out of reach of my youngest.
First thing she did when she saw it was say “I want to press buttons!”. My son, who is 4, said “I want to play ABC Mouse please!”. But since I have turned it backwards, they pretty much have ignored it and left it alone. I have had no trouble with my email, and I plan on doing future studies with this company. I heard the checks come within a month so I should be getting mine soon, and after the 2-3 month study is up, I will be given notice that the laptop is mine.
A free laptop, $50 bucks, in exchange for using my email to do an ad test for 3-6 months? Easiest and post profitable study I have ever done! If you are interested in participating in any studies from this company, I highly recommend them. They are legitimate! Please contact Kami Stelling at kamiestelling@gmail.com.
I hope you enjoyed my first blog, please feel free to mail me or comment any suggestions or ideas you may have and thank you!
